"He is
despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with
grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised,
and we esteemed Him not" (Isaiah 53:3). "Jesus knew that the time
had come for Him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having
loved His own who were in the world, He now showed them the full
extent of His love" (John 13:1).
